Words from Our Clients
Pornthip Teerakulchai
Retired, Bangkok
I had retired from a government agency and was uncertain whether the pension I was receiving matched what I was entitled to. The entitlement review gave me a clear, written explanation for the first time. It turned out there was a discrepancy — small, but real. Having it explained in plain language, without pressure to do anything more, was exactly what I needed.

Wichai Sombatpanich
Former civil servant, Nonthaburi
After a pension adjustment I did not understand, I reached out to Ratana Niti. The adviser was patient and took time to explain the civil service pension framework, which I had never fully understood. The correspondence they prepared was calm and well-argued. The outcome was not everything I had hoped for, but I left knowing I had explored it properly.

Nanthawan Phisit
Approaching retirement, Samut Prakan
I was about two years from retirement and wanted to understand what I would actually receive, given that I had worked for both private companies and a state enterprise. The review set it all out clearly. Knowing what to expect before I retire has made planning much more straightforward.

Boonmee Krainak
Retired teacher, Chiang Mai
The appeal process was unfamiliar territory for me. I had never dealt with anything formal like this before. What I valued most was that Somchai explained each step before it happened, so I was never surprised by anything. The case took about four months. The outcome was in my favour, which I was relieved about, but even the process itself felt manageable.

Siriporn Chatphet
Retired, Bangkok
I found the process slower than I expected, though I understand that these matters take time. What I appreciated was that Naphatson always responded when I wrote, and always told me clearly what the next step was. I felt informed throughout, which is more than I could say for my previous attempts to deal with this alone.

Arthit Tunyawat
Former state enterprise employee, Pathum Thani
My situation was fairly complex — I had contributions under both the Social Security scheme and a separate state enterprise pension. The adviser at Ratana Niti was the first person who actually understood how the two intersected, and explained clearly where the issue was. The written summary was the most useful document I received through the whole process.

How Three Matters Progressed
The following accounts are drawn from actual case types we handle. Client names and identifying details have been changed.
Challenge
Contributions Not Fully Recognised
A retired civil servant in her early sixties had worked for two government departments across her career. On receiving her pension, she noticed the amount was lower than she had anticipated. She had no written explanation of how the figure had been calculated.
Our Approach
Entitlement Review & Correspondence
We conducted a full entitlement review using her employment records from both departments. The review identified that contributions from her earlier posting had not been carried over correctly when she transferred. We prepared formal correspondence requesting a recalculation and provided a supporting summary of the relevant regulations.
Outcome
Adjustment Confirmed in Writing
The department acknowledged the error and issued a revised pension calculation. The adjustment was modest — approximately ฿800 per month — but meaningful to someone on a fixed income. The process took eleven weeks from the first correspondence to the written confirmation.
"I never thought I would get anywhere with it. But it was worth doing properly."
Challenge
Appeal After Administrative Rejection
A man in his late fifties had applied for early pension access on medical grounds. His application was rejected with a brief form letter citing insufficient evidence. He was uncertain whether the rejection was valid and felt he lacked the tools to challenge it effectively.
Our Approach
Full Representation at Appeal Stage
We reviewed the rejection and the medical documentation available. We advised him on what additional evidence would strengthen the appeal and assisted in obtaining supplementary documentation. We then prepared and filed the formal appeal, represented him at the administrative hearing, and kept him briefed on each development.
Outcome
Appeal Upheld
The appeal was upheld five months after filing. Early access to his pension was approved, allowing him to reduce his working hours as his health required. He described the process as difficult but manageable with the support provided.
"Having someone else manage the correspondence made it much less stressful than I expected."
Challenge
Mixed Employment History, Unclear Entitlement
A woman approaching retirement had worked for a private company for twelve years, then a state enterprise for nine years. She had never received a clear explanation of whether her years in the private sector would contribute to her total pension and, if so, under which scheme.
Our Approach
Entitlement Review Across Both Schemes
We mapped her full employment history against the applicable schemes — Social Security for her private sector years and the state enterprise pension for the later period. We set out how each would calculate independently and explained the total picture in a single written document, with projected figures based on her current salary and planned retirement date.
Outcome
Informed Retirement Planning
No dispute was involved — this was a clarity matter. She used the written summary to plan her retirement timing more accurately than she had been able to before. She later referred a colleague facing a similar situation.
"It was the first time anyone had explained how both schemes worked together. I wish I had done this years earlier."
